A strong immune system is the key to preventing any illness. In addition to eating primarily a plant based whole food diet with very limited animal products add additional nutritional supplements. such as a multivitamin and increase your vitamin C intake. Vitamin C helps your body make its own antioxidant, glutathione and assists the body in the production of interferon, an antiviral.
Vitamin C has been shown to be effective against a wide range of flu viruses. In many cases oral supplementation of about 10,000 mg daily creates this protection. In some instances it may become necessary to increase this amount.
